Luke began his ski career in Portes du Soleil, France as a ski technician back in 2000 and over the next five years worked as a ski representative in Norway, Sweden, Austria and Italy. He has skied for 35 years and has spent 21 years living abroad in various destinations in Europe and Africa and visited 28 countries. His favourites are Austria, Norway, Bali in Indonesia and Mozambique. He studied Tourism Management at Brunel University and has always worked in the tourism industry.

A keen sportsman, Luke has played tennis since he was 10 and football until he was 32 and now spends a lot of time riding his mountain bike and road bike at the weekend. He is an avid armchair rugby fan and never misses a 6th Nation championship.

His advice on skiing is: “If you want to improve your skiing, do a season and pick your powder days.”

Luke joined Club Europe in 2010, he says: “I love meeting the students at the parents evenings and hearing how they went on last year’s trip and they cannot wait to go again this year. Skiing and sport has been a large part of my life for a very long time.

I can remember the first school ski trip I went on to Andorra and how it has impacted on me, and I hope the more groups I can get into skiing the more of them will ski for the rest of their lives. The feeling of complete freedom and peace on the mountain and those fresh powder days are what I crave.”
