This fascinating and enriching school trip offers activities and visits for both science and history students. After four days of absorbing space activities in the world famous Eurospace Centre, our trip takes students to the battlefields of WWI to see some of the most thought-provoking and eye-opening historical sights. This is an educational school trip that offers real-life learning experiences.
The Euro Space Centre: one of the world’s premier space museums with fantastic space camps for young people:
Our students stay at Eurospace Centre in Belgium and at the Peace Village, where facilities include an outdoor football pitch. Peace village is a smart centre with a great outdoor space, modern accommodation and fantastic facilities. It is also close to poignant points of history.
Arrive and check in at the Eurospace Centre in time for lunch. Afternoon space activities. Evening activities include DVD evening, football/volley ball/outdoor games and a ‘dance’ party in the Grand Hall.
Day Two to Day Four
Three further days of space activities at the Eurospace Centre.
Check out and travel by coach to Ypres. Visit the Menin Gate. Walk to the In Flanders Fields Museum and take part in the Coming World Remember me workshop. Check in to the Peace Village. Late afternoon WW1 guided visit, A Walk of Remembrance.
In the morning go for a guided buike tour. Border By Bike’ is a fun countryside ride, north towards the Dutch border. In the afternoon visit the Historium and experience the Magic of the Middle Ages. Travel back in time to the golden age of Bruges.
Check out of your hotel and depart for return journey to school.
