Youth wind band Italian tour success

A concert wind band from Devon had a wonderful concert tour to Tuscany this month.

Lucy, their music leader said: “Everything was well organised. All queries dealt with in a very professional manner. I was impressed with all the professional and well-informed members of Club Europe staff.”

Speaking of a concert in a piazza, she said: “It was a beautiful enclosed courtyard with lots of seating on the church steps. Fantastic acoustic. A great success.”

Of her tour manager she commented: “Martina was fantastic. Well organised and prepared. She mixed well with the whole band and was popular with everyone. We even had her playing the last note in our final concert on cymbals!”

The group’s tour included concerts in San Gimignano, Pistoia and Montecatini Terme as well as plenty of time to explore this beautiful area, take a ride on the funicular railway in Montecatini and visit Puccini’s House in Lucca.
