Immerse your students of Japanese in the unique culture and traditions of this fascinating country and take them on a trip of a lifetime to Japan.

Basing your group in Tokyo and Kyoto, highlights of our trip include:

• Nikko World Heritage: This includes the Nikko Toshogu Shrine, the Yomeimon gate and the Toshogu Shinto Shrine as well as Buddhist temples dedicated to the Shogun.

• The Asakusa Temple: Also known as Sanja-sama (Shrine of the Three Gods), one of the most famous Shinto shrines in Tokyo.

• The Meiji JIngu Shrine in Tokyo: A shrine dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shōken.

• Harajuku: An area known internationally as the centre of Japanese youth culture and fashion with many youth-oriented, independent boutiques and cafés.

• A Taiko workshop: This introduces students to traditional Japanese drumming technique.

• Fushimi Inari Shrine: Thought to have as many as 32,000 sub-shrines throughout Japan.

For groups requiring language classes, we can arrange these as part of your visit, at an excellent language school.

Here’s some useful tips on visiting Japan:

Most Japanese schools have three semesters: April to July, September to December, and January to March.

What kind of accommodation is available for school trips to Japan?

Japan offers a wide variety of accommodation from guesthouses to luxurious hotels. Staying at a Japanese-style inn (Ryokan) will be a special experience.

My students cannot speak Japanese well. Will this be an obstacle?

All Japanese people study English for at least 3 years, and the majority study for 6 years or more. So, you’ll have no difficulty finding someone to help you in English. Some people may not be fluent, or may be shy at first, but you will soon notice that people’s friendliness and willingness to communicate fully compensate for the lack of fluency in English.
