Take your Art students to Belgium and the opportunities are endless…!
The region of Flanders, in Belgium’s north, was home to many of Europe’s finest artists through the centuries. While Brussels has some of the finest art museums in Europe with masterpieces both classic and contemporary.
Here are some of the highlights of our new trip:
• Antwerp: Rubens’ House, where he lived for over 25 years and where much of his work was carried out.
•Ghent: Museum of Fine Arts. The collection houses a wide range of art in Flanders from the Middle Ages up to the first half of the 20th century.
•Bruges: Groeningemuseum, with its varied and fascinating overview of Belgium visual art through the ages, including works by van Eyck and Hans Memling.
•Brussels: many museums including the excellent Magritte Museum, dedicated to this surrealist artist.
