'The Acropolis of Athens put everything into context for the students'

A group of A level Classics students from a Hertfordshire college have had a very successful educational trip to Athens.

“All the students on the trip are currently studying A Level Classical Civilisation with me,” commented Kathryn their Head of Classics, “and I have taught units on Greek religion, where they have studied the Acropolis of Athens and Delphi.

“A colleague has been teaching a unit on the Greek theatre, so Epidaurus was a perfect excursion to include.

“In particular the Acropolis of Athens put everything into context for the students and brought their learning alive.

“It also helped with revision as when they got back, they went straight into exams.”

Kathryn summed up:

“I was impressed with Club Europe’s efficiency and ease of access to the portal. It was a well planned and an enjoyable experience.”
