A plethora of interactive museums
The vibrant city of Amsterdam offers a plethora of interactive museums and sites exploring chemistry, the human body, energy, technology, space exploration, engineering, electricity and light.
Our trip is targeted at 11-14 year olds but can be adapted to suit all ages.
You can extend your trip with a visit to the city of Eindhoven, in south east Netherlands. Nicknamed the City of Light, Eindhoven is now known as the city of technology, design and knowledge thanks to the light art festival GLOW Eindhoven and Dutch Design Week.
The light art festival GLOW takes place for a week every November and hosts an array of stunning light artworks across the city created by national and international light artists.
In addition, the Brainport region in Eindhoven attracts the highest level of investment in the Netherlands and is one of Europe’s leading innovative top technology regions.

Day 1
Leave school for travel to Amsterdam. Transfer to accommodation and evening at leisure to start exploring the local area.
Day 2
Morning visit and workshop at NEMO Science Museum. Step straight onto a canal boat from the museum’s doors to explore Amsterdam’s waterways. In the afternoon, experience the sensation of flying in the 5D flying experience at This is Holland. Then visit Body Worlds Amsterdam, which displays real, plastinated human bodies used for scientific research and medical education; a fascinating exhibition created by Dr. Gunther von Hagens.
Day 3
Transfer to Noordwijk to enjoy a tour at ESA ESTEC, the technical heart of the European Space Agency, where all European space missions begin. Visit the adjoining space travel museum and travel on to Leiden to experience the Corpus, ‘a journey through the human body’. Return to Amsterdam and enjoy a workshop at the Science Centre at Technical University Delft in which students are challenged to build their own bridge in an inspiring environment.
Day 4
Depart or transfer onto Eindhoven, the City of Light, a 1.5 hour’s drive from Amsterdam.

Day 4
Transfer to Eindhoven where electronics company Philips was founded. In the afternoon enjoy a tour of the city and its industrial and redevelopment sites, or its cutting-edge region Brainport. In the evening students enjoy the marvellous light art festival GLOW, among the top best-visited light festivals in the world.
Day 5
Unwind at Efteling theme park en route home.

The most pleasant time of year to come to Europe is between May and September; you may wish to consider this when planning your tour. Summer temperatures across Europe range from 18-35 degrees Celsius. European cities in winter can also offer many interesting cultural experiences that you may enjoy.
We agree a three-stage process so that payments can be staggered to make it easier for parents.
Once your student travel tour is booked, it is safely in our hands. We will only ask for you assistance in understanding your specific requirements and you will be responsible for ensuring that the dates on our checklist are adhered to. During the process, we will also ask you to provide accurate student and teacher name, passport and dietary requirement details where appropriate.
