“It was brilliant and everything I expected from a tour and more. Jonathan was brilliant. He was always patient with me and nothing seemed to...”

The Black Forest lies in the south west corner of Germany, bordering both France and Switzerland. It is an area of lush forests and pastures, clear deep lakes and rolling hills, making it one of Germany’s most popular holiday centres. The region is also famous for its local crafts such as cuckoo clocks, glass blowing and the mouthwatering cake. You can still see all of these being made in the traditional way.
There is a wealth of spa resorts across the Black Forest, where well-equipped halls as well as beautiful pavilions are available for our groups. These include Bad Peterstal, Bad Krozingen and the chic town of Baden-Baden, where there are regular concert series attracting large audiences. Many places of worship enthusiastically welcome choirs; Strasbourg (just over the French border) and Freiburg cathedrals accept our sacred choirs to sing Mass, while a number of churches enjoy our groups’ recitals.

The lovely Hotel Wacker is situated in the heart of the picturesque town of Lahr, in the northern part of the Black Forest. The hotel is family-owned and has 70 beds – all rooms have a private bathroom and all are of a good standard. Other facilities at the hotel include a function room, dining room and bar. You will certainly receive a warm welcome here and you will enjoy being able to walk out into the cobbled streets of this little town to enjoy the shops and lively cafes. Groups travelling to this area also stay in Strasbourg. Please call us for more details.
You should book your tour between 8-18 months in advance. This will give us time to find the best possible venues for your tour and you will have ample time for fundraising should you need to do so.
We understand that when you go on a music tour where you stay is really important. All hotels and hostels we use are suitable for music ensembles with many offering rehearsal space and instrument storage. Rooms generally en-suite.
Once your tour is booked, it is safely in our hands. We will only ask for you assistance in understanding your concert requirements and you will be responsible for ensuring that the dates on our checklist are adhered to. Until your departure, you simply need to prepare your musicians musically and compile the tour repertoire.
