Lignano Sabbiadoro, or "golden sand", is a town within the province of Udine in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy. One of the main summer resorts on the Adriatic Sea coast, it is a wonderful destination for our school music tour groups. Staying at the Bella Italia Village, students will enjoy the sea and nature together with a wide range of sports facilities including a sports hall, football courts, tennis, soccer, basketball and volleyball. There is also a water park, indoor swimming pools, and beach volleyball. In addition there is a day and evening entertainment programme, creative workshops and theme nights on site and on the beach. Venice is just few miles away and is one of many locations in the area, you could visit for an unforgettable day trip.
There are lots of performing venues within the Village and in the squares or churches in Lignano Sabbiadoro as well as in Venice and the surrounding area. Concert bands and Performing Arts groups will love the lively squares of this resort, where in the summer, concerts take place from 9pm most nights. Choirs and orchestras can perform in one of Venice’s glorious churches such as Il Redentore and Saint George’s Church, both of which are well within travelling distance.

Situated in a 60-hectare pine forest overlooking more than a kilometre of private beach, the Village is made up of 13 residences with different capacity, room types and services. There is a multi-sports sports hall with the total capacity of 2,500 seats, two side halls of 300 and 400 seats, a regular-size parquet court for handball, basket, volleyball, a stage for musical or theatrical performances and much more!
The Village has two Indoor swimming pools: the largest is 50 x 25m and the second from 25 x 12.5m (depth from 1.3 to 1.4 m). At the bigger pool there are 400 seats in the stands, equipped with a sound system. Also, in the Village’s centre, is a big water park, made of four waterslides and four pools with a depth of just over one metre; a perfect place to relax with your group. We accept any group as long as they are used to performing together as an ensemble, even if only to their fellow students and parents. We always ask for a recent recording of your group and we have range of venues on offer that will welcome beginner groups as well as experienced ensembles.
We can send you mini-brochures to hand out at your rehearsals and a PowerPoint presentation for assemblies and parent’s meetings you may wish to hold. We also have a promotional poster to put up around your school, which you can download here. This will make it easier for you to get your students excited about your plans.
