The region of Liguria is a very well kept secret, with no ‘big names’ to attract the crowds. Dig a little deeper and you discover that the region holds many attractions in its own right. The mountainous terrain creates a magnificent backdrop, beginning right behind the sandy coastline which stretches all the way up to Genoa, the midpoint along the Ligurian coast. Olives and vines clothe the lower slopes, while glorious medieval villages sit snugly above. Down on the coast you will find classy San Remo, home to the annual jazz festival, as well as the established beach resorts of Diano Marina and Alassio. If you want to enjoy a real taste of Italy and perform to some of the largest and most enthusiastic audiences you will come across.

We have established great contacts here over many years, and have organised our own youth band festival in Liguria. Concerts take place in the evening on open-air stages, with excellent technical support and huge audiences, in the coastal towns of Imperia, Alassio and Noli, as well as inland in Camporosso and Dolceacqua.

The Hotel Robinia in Imperia is a three star hotel located close to the Marina of Porto Maurizio. It offers a good standard of accommodation in twins and triples. All rooms have en suite facilities. We work hard to generate excellent attendance at each concert, as we understand that an appreciative audience makes all the difference. We produce eye-catching posters and handbills, which are displayed and distributed in the environs of your concerts. We also advertise your concerts in online and hard copy local What’s On Guides as well as newspapers, by way of press releases. In addition, we invite local dignitaries, music societies and music students to your concerts. Last but not least, we provide you with posters for your concerts, which will be displayed in your coach and placed on your Club Europe poster board at your venue by your tour manager before each concert.
We understand that school music tours are considered as a reward or holiday for many groups and that where you stay is really important. All hotels and hostels we use are suitable for young music ensembles with many offering rehearsal space and instrument storage. Rooms are normally multi-bedded for students and twins, sometimes singles, for adults. Generally, rooms are en-suite.
We have drawn up a comprehensive step-by-step Guide to planning a school music tour for first time tourers. This covers all aspects of tour planning from budgeting and fundraising, to choosing the right destination, accommodation and performing venues for your ensemble. Click here to read our Guide.
