Hannah was very good. Friendly, professional and helpful. Always a pleasure to work with! Sabine was again very good. Particularly impressed that she was emailing every day to sort issues with our tour whilst on holiday! The processes and deadlines were very clearly explained and the new portal is much easier to navigate. I was most impressed with [Club Europe’s] willingness to answer my questions and wobbles about COVID and the personal contact with Tim we had to make sure I was happy.
[On a concert outdoors] Surprisingly good for an outdoor venue. With the town hall behind us and trees above the sound was good. We enjoyed it very much. It was a beautiful location and we felt very lucky to be able to sing together there. [On a concert in a club] The audience was very appreciative. The highlight was meeting some of the members and their enthusiasm for us being there. They also made a donation to the DEC Ukraine Fund on our behalf which was a nice gesture.
Hotel was lovely and lived up to expectations. Beautiful surroundings. Staff asked us if we would like to do extra rehearsals which was nice, and gave us a glass of prosecco and canapés before we left for the airport which was a nice gesture. Lovely to have lots of space and different areas to sit so that it was possible to have some down time if needed. Hotel staff were very welcoming to our group, particularly the lovely manager Beatrice. Any issues with rooms were dealt with quickly.
Eleanor was amazing. She was fluent in Italian which was invaluable and was also able to get everyone on side by being very friendly and approachable. She really got to know us as a group and was very popular with members. She also had a good relationship with the coach driver. By the end of the week she knew everyone’s name and felt like a part of our group. She spoke to the venues in advance to check details and answer any questions I had, sorted out any issues when we arrived and liaised with the organisers to make sure that we knew what we needed to do. She also did announcements in Italian during the concert and translated the speeches that hosts made. She went beyond expectations.
We had the same driver (Marino) all week and we were all fond of him. He was very flexible about timings and even offered to drop the piano back to the hire shop while we were eating our evening meal so that we didn’t have to go out of our way to do it the following day.

“[On a courtyard concert] We were made to feel very welcome throughout the course of the evening. The venue were organised to receive us. We had our own dressing room that had been allocated to us and food and refreshments were provided. The facilities were fantastic, they provided a PA system accompanied by technicians to take care of sound. The performance platform was well lit and the acoustic was fantastic for choirs and vocal groups. [On a villa concert] The concert at the Villa was a huge success. It was a beautiful, ornate room that provided a fantastic setting for our second concert. The room we performed in was long and narrow and having an audience size of between 50-100 suited it perfectly.”
