A brass band from Oxfordshire had a great music tour to the Netherlands.
Clare their party leaders commented: “All three of our concerts were well advertised, which meant we had excellent audiences at each of the venues.”
One of their concerts was in an open air theatre: “It was an excellent venue," Clare said, "a brilliant space to perform in. Great acoustics and a great audience. We would definitely play there again. The organisation of this concert was very smooth. It was great that we had a contact meet us at the venue.”
The band also performed a concert in the centre of Luxembourg: “We were made to feel welcome by the audience. There was also a contact from the tourist office that presented us with a bottle of wine at the end, which was a very nice gesture. The concert was in the heart of Luxembourg on market day, which resulted in an audience of approximately 2000-3000 people.”
Clare was particularly impressed with their tour coach drivers : “They really went above and beyond their duties. They took on tasks they shouldn’t have needed to, like walking around Monschau trying to find the closest place they could get the coach to the concert venue to unload."
