MD launches new Proud to Perform project

Club Europe’s Managing Director Tim Johnson will this week announce £12k worth of funding to enable a young music group from the UK to go on a music tour to France.

Part of our new Proud to Perform initiative, the funding will pay for a group who have the musical ability to tour but can’t currently afford it.

We will support and mentor the music group for two years, leading to a concert tour in Paris in 2015.

“There are lots of emerging musical groups in the UK who have musical talent and commitment, who could benefit from this fantastic opportunity,” said Louise Riman, Head of Club Europe Concert tours.

“By funding a music tour for them, we are providing a sustained musical learning experience over two years, leading to a great performance platform for them to showcase their talent.

“This project will support their development and growth as a group and will be a wonderful way of motivating and encouraging their young music makers.”

We are looking for a school or community ensemble who:

  • are based in the UK
  • have a total of 40 young people or less
  • have a musical director/conductor in place
  • are rehearsing and performing well together
  • cannot currently afford to go on a music tour

All entries will be assessed by a qualified music professional.
