Teachers and members of the Club Europe Concert Tours team enjoyed a very rewarding few days in Malta last week on a familiarisation trip.
In all they saw 14 possible venues for groups on a school music tour – 5 outdoor and 9 churches as well as three hotels.
The group also saw all the important tourist spots on the island including Qawra, St Julians, Sliema, Mdina, Mosta and Valetta. They went on a harbour cruise, visited two sandy beaches, Dingli Cliffs, Blue Grotto, The Azure Window on Gozo and had a lovely lunch overlooking the harbour in the fishing village of Marsascala.
“This trip encompassed everything a party leader would need to see if they were planning a school music tour to Malta,” said Senior Account Manager Alahree McDonell-Reid who went on the trip.
One of the teachers of an adult choir group commented: “It gave us an excellent introduction to the island and what it has to offer – it was really good to do some things like the Harbour Cruise which would be possible excursions for our group as well as visit venues.”
