On the slopes

Situated in the Rhône-Auvergne Alps of France, Val Cenis Vanoise is the ski area shared by three picturesque villages in the unspoiled Haute Maurienne valley. The ski area goes up to 2800 m and has a total area of 350 km with a wide range of runs for all abilities. Get more kilometres under your skis by venturing to one of the other resorts in the Haute Maurienne valley, such as Vallois, Les Sybelles or Valmenier, all included in a 6-day pass, or even Val Thorens for a supplement. We think this is a really good-value alternative to the vast Three Valleys and a perfect introduction to the French Alps for school groups.

Enjoy any of the classic evening entertainments such as snow-shoe walking, ice-skating, bowling, or swimming. For those groups with unlimited energy, there is also an indoor climbing wall and a massive trampoline centre (think Flipout!) in the village of Val Cenis.
