School ski trips to Bernese Oberland - Gstaad

On the slopes

Gstaad Saanenland is located in the southwest of Switzerland in the heart of the Bernese Oberland. It has a very authentic alpine feel and traditions are still very much alive here. Fantastic skiing can be enjoyed from the end of October to the start of May. Of its 250km of pistes, 60 per cent are covered with artificial snow. There are 57 mountain lifts and cableways which provide access to 220km of slopes, sled and toboggan runs, snowparks and panoramic winter hiking trails. The longest run in the region is 1600 vertical meters (more than most resorts in the North American Rocky Mountains). The resort has the only glacier ski area in the Bernese Oberland and guaranteed snow cover. Gstaad is also the Alpine ‘capital’ for major events and it hosts over 1000 different events every year.
