Set in New Hampshire’s spectacular Franconia Notch State Park, Cannon Mountain offers some of the most exciting skiing and boarding in the eastern USA. At 4,080ft, Cannon has the highest peak in New Hampshire and the longest vertical drop. It is just 10 minutes away from the hotels in Lincoln and our student ski trip groups can also make the short drive to Waterville Valley during their stay to ski on the mountain there. Cannon offers classic New England skiing with extensive beginner runs, 14 trials and 4 lifts. There is also 98 acres of mostly backcountry skiing on Mittersill and stunning views from the 70-passenger cable car.
View piste mapThere is a wide variety of activities on offer when you’re not on the slopes including tubing, ice-hockey games, bowling, ice-skating, discos and party nights. The nearby town of Lincoln has a 4-screen cinema and a host of interesting shops and cafés, where you can take advantage of the tax-free goods on offer in this State. Or you may like to visit the famous New England Ski Museum located at the base of Cannon Mountain’s cable car.
The incredible 70-passenger cable car is the oldest in the USA and offers spectacular views. Queues for all the lifts are always short and well organised. The hotels are just 10-20 minutes away from the slopes.
Groups can combine skiing on Cannon with nearby Waterville Valley, which offers a whole raft of other runs and trails for all levels.
You should book your trip between 12-18 months in advance. This will give you the best choice of accommodation and allow parents plenty of time to save up, but we always welcome late bookings.
Yes. We include a comprehensive insurance package in every tour unless instructed otherwise. We can provide you with the details.
