Three good reasons to go on a football tour

Life experience, bonding and great coaching, are three of the main benefits of going on a football tour according to Director of Football at a school in the South of the Us, Rafa Fernande

  • UK school from Hastings go on a football stadium tour to Atalanta
  • Question time for students from the UK on their sports tour to Italy

“It’s a huge life experience for our boys; not just seeing football in another part of the world and playing against teams they would never normally meet, but it’s also a great opportunity to explore another country. They are out of their comfort zone for sure, but in a good way.

“The team bonding that happens on tour is also great; the free time they have enables them to make new friends and they become like one family.

“Atalanta is one of Italy’s top clubs and it’s a great for them to be coached by the team there, who have the best knowledge of the game. They learn a lot from these top coaches and then play matches against some top quality players.

“This time they met two of the players from Atalanta which was very exciting for them. They asked them loads of questions and the players were great.

“It was also very exciting to go and watch one of their games; it made it seem very real because the boys could see the players that they’d just spoken to the day before in action.”
