Head of UK Ski and Sports tours
Cath has always been sporty and has travelled all round Europe playing sport and skiing from a young age. She started skiing with her grandparents on a Sunday afternoon at Woolwich dry ski slope. She was 12 when she experienced skiing on snow for the first time and she hasn’t looked back since.
Cath says: “I went on many ski trips with my grandparents, mainly to Austria at Easter, which is still to this day my preferred destination and time of the year to ski. I took part in a couple of school and university trips, which I still talk about at length when I meet up with old friends.
“I have taken part in a variety of sports over the years and been on hockey tour to Holland and Belgium and played in squash tournaments in Denmark and France. I am now a keen triathlete and love to combine my passion for travel with my enthusiasm for swimming, cycling and running.
“I took part in the Barcelona Triathlon, the Alpe d’Huez Triathlon and this year I’m taking on the challenge of Ironman UK.”
Cath is one of Club Europe’s longest standing employees, having been at the company since 1997. Her advice is: “If you’re going to ski, start young!” and “try as many sports as you can!”
About her role Cath says: “I love the variety in my job: liaising with party leaders in the lead up to their trip, presenting at parents evenings and finally meeting the groups in resort. It’s all very rewarding.”
