The impact of Covid-19 on our school ski trips

Our February half term school ski trip students had just returned from the slopes when the world was thrown into turmoil because of Covid -19. One of the first to be effected were our Easter ski trip students; sadly by then the world was in Lockdown, so none of them got to ski this year.

Our MD has personally been in touch with every school who was due to ski with us over Easter.

“We knew from the beginning of the crisis that our teachers would be massively impacted and needed our support," says Managing Director Tim Johnson. "We took a head on approach. I have personally been in touch with all our teachers who were due to travel with us this year and I am still available to all of them at any time.

“We worked on a case by case basis; where the school was unable to defer their trip, we worked with them to ensure they got the best outcome, issuing then with the maximum refund that was available. In all cases we came to a joint, mutual decision on the best way forward.

“We like to think that this human approach has strengthened our relationships with our teachers.

“When we world re-opens, there’ll be lots of questions and worries from parents. We will support them, as we’ve always done, every step of the way.”
