Important in the Roman era and in the Middle Ages, Rouen is a beautiful port city on the river Seine. Explore its Gothic churches and a cobblestoned pedestrian centre, which has hundreds of medieval half-timbered houses. Visit Tour Jeanne-d’Arc, a remnant of the 13th-century castle where France’s famous saint was tried for heresy.
Classified since 2009 as a Natura 2000 site, the Albaster Coast takes its name from the white hue of its high chalk cliffs, including those of Étretat, which stretch for over 120 km, dominating most of the coastline.
Enjoy Dieppe’s popular pebbled beach, see its 15th-century castle and the churches of Saint-Jacques and Saint-Remi and taste its famous scallops.
Dive into the heart of the Amazon forest by visiting the Panorama XXL exhibition. Watch the incredible richness of its fauna and flora with the Amazonia panorama. From a 15m high platform, you can see the Amazonian landscape in all its height and extent, watching from the tops of giant trees the fascinating plants and many animal species.
We use a variety of accommodation in Normandy, from youth hostels to 2 and 3 star hotels. The youth hostel in Rouen is housed in an 18th century former factory, which has been renovated to provide excellent accommodation for youth groups. It is situated in the heart of the historic centre, giving excellent access into the city itself. Bedrooms are 4-6 bedded and there is a garden, terrace and meeting room for your use.
You should book your tour between 8-18 months in advance. This will give us time to secure the best possible accommodation and excursion programme for your tour and you will have ample time for fundraising should you need to do so.
Once your student travel tour is booked, it is safely in our hands. We will only ask for you assistance in understanding your specific requirements and you will be responsible for ensuring that the dates on our checklist are adhered to. During the process, we will also ask you to provide accurate student and teacher name, passport and dietary requirement details where appropriate.
We can send you mini-brochures to hand out at school and a PowerPoint presentation for assemblies and parent’s meetings you may wish to hold. We also have an interactive promotional poster you can put up on walls and noticeboards. This will make it easier for you to get your students excited about your plans.
