Spain’s capital, is perfect for students of Art – the city is home to fantastic collections found in world famous museums, including Spain’s most prestigious art gallery, the Prado. For students wanting to learn about Spanish culture and improve their language skills, there is no better way than to engage with locals and enjoy the exciting city life. A visit to one of the many vibrant markets, places where locals meet and trade, allows students to practice language skills and buy souvenirs.
Day 1
Travel to Madrid by air. Meet your tour manager and transfer to your accommodation. Time to explore the local area.
Day 2
Enjoy a Madrid walking tour with a local guide. After your tapas lunch spend the afternoon exploring the city.
Day 3
A day exploring Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a guided tour of the city and Cathedral and lunch at a local restaurant.
Day 4
Guided tour of Prado Museum and a visit to the Santiago Bernabeu, home to Real Madrid C.F. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before ending your day with free time to explore the city.
Day 5
Enjoy a visit to the Monastery of Escorial before transferring to the city of Segovia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for lunch and a guided walking tour.
Day 6
Morning visit to the Castle of Manzanares. After lunch, visit the Madrid Royal Palace with an evening Flamenco Show and dinner to end your stay.
Day 7
Check out of your accommodation and transfer to the airport for your return flight.
You will be based in the TRYP Madrid Chamartín, located minutes from a buzzing cultural scene and metres from the train station. You will be able to relax in a hotel that was recently superbly renovated, with an outdoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi internet access.
You should book your tour between 8-18 months in advance. This will give us time to secure the best possible accommodation and excursion programme for your tour and you will have ample time for fundraising should you need to do so.
