Budapest is a vastly diverse city with so many places of interest that it makes for a very exciting music tour. Famed for its folk music and composers such as Bartok, Kodaly and Liszt, it is unsurprising that the city boasts such a rich cultural heritage, and musical ensembles are warmly received. Its fascinating and varied history is visible through the grand buildings of the Golden Age such as the Royal Palace and Parliament building, whilst the Fisherman’s Bastion offers an impressive view over the city. With fantastic venues and good value accommodation, Budapest is one of our favourite music tour destinations.
Our music tour groups are able to perform in a variety of performance spaces in central Budapest, from cathedrals to jazz clubs, concert halls to community centres. Along the Danube bend there are also numerous towns and villages with pretty churches and town squares, providing real hospitality and the chance to explore beyond the capital city. We have also arranged for some of our groups to perform in local festivals.

We work with a variety of large 3 and 4 star hotels and can base groups centrally or on the outskirts, yet still remaining close to good transport links.
You should book your tour between 8-18 months in advance. This will give us time to find the best possible venues for your tour and you will have ample time for fundraising should you need to do so.
The most pleasant times of year to come to Europe are May to September, therefore you may wish to consider this when planning your tour. Summer temperatures across Europe range from 18-35 degrees Celsius. European cities in winter can also offer many interesting cultural experiences that you may enjoy.
We accept any group as long as they are used to performing together as an ensemble, even if only to their fellow students and parents. We always ask for a recent recording of your group and we have range of venues on offer that will welcome beginner groups as well as experienced ensembles.
