North Yorkshire with its stunning rolling countryside, stately homes and historic cities and towns is a wonderful choice for a band or choir tour. Stay on the coast in Whitby, Scarborough or the elegant spa town of Harrogate. Then explore and perform in some of Yorkshire best kept secrets: the old fishing villages of Robin Hood’s Bay and Filey. Alternatively, the historic city of York is packed with wonderful sights and venues for all types of visiting ensembles. Take part in Evensong in the awe-inspiring York Minster or perform in a natural amphitheatre, set in a beautiful gorge in the Yorkshire Dales.

Whether you choose a tour to the coast or further inland, you’ll be spoilt for choice in this stunning county. In and around York: Perform at the Hardraw Scar, a natural amphitheatre in the Yorkshire Dales; at the Abbey cellarium or Hall of Fountain’s Abbey, an historic National Trust property; in the 14th century Ripon Cathedral; or at the popular bandstands in Rowntree Park and in Valley Gardens in Harrogate. On the coast: Perform in a traditional chapel, at the parish church or outside in the dock at Robin Hood’s Bay. Or perform in the bandstand at Filey and in bandstands, churches and pavilions in Scarborough or Whitby.
Day 1
[Coastal tour]
Welcome drink at the hotel in Whitby, Scarborough or Harrogate and time to relax before dinner at the hotel.
Day 2
In the morning listen to tales and legends of smugglers and shipwrecks as you explore the Bay on the Robin Hood Bay Ghost Walk or take a guided walk across Fylingdales Moor. Afternoon concert outside on the dock of the Bay. Evening meal at an Inn in Robin Hood’s Bay.
Day 3
Spend the day exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Afternoon outdoor concert at the Hardraw Scar Natural Amphitheatre. Evening meal at the hotel.
Day 4
Day trip to Scarborough. Walk along the beach. Visit SEA LIFE Scarborough and Scaborough Castle with its panoramic views over the dramatic Yorkshire coastline and enjoy a fresh fish & chips lunch. Afternoon concert at Peasholm Park Bandstand.
Day 5
Spend the morning in Whitby. Take a boat along the coast, climb the 199 steps to the top of Whitby Abbey, explore Whitby Harbour or take a walk along Whitby Beach. In the afternoon travel to Filey for a concert in the bandstand.
Day 6
Optional morning excursion to Castle Howard before heading for home.

Travelling by coach is the most economical and flexible way to tour. Be collected from your meeting point and arrive at your destination in comfort on air-conditioned, high specification coaches. Enjoy the freedom of your own vehicle whilst on tour and travel in comfort with reclining seats and toilet. More and more groups choose to fly. We can arrange your flights from your local airport as well as from London. Once you have arrived at your destination, we can provide transfers to your accommodation and local coach hire throughout your music tour.
Once your tour is booked, it is safely in our hands. We will only ask for you assistance in understanding your concert requirements and you will be responsible for ensuring that the dates on our checklist are adhered to. Until your departure, you simply need to prepare your musicians musically and compile the tour repertoire.
