Head of Geography, Nick Asher from Gems Wellington School in Dubai has just returned from a wonderful educational trip to Iceland.

Here’s what he had to say of he and his students’ experience:

“As a Geography trip we could give first-hand experience of tectonic activity, coastal processes, and alternative tourism; all relevant to the GCSE course the pupils are studying.

“Jonny, our account manager, was always a very friendly and helpful contact. Questions via Skype, email or face-to-face were answered quickly, which meant I could give information out to the students and their parents quickly too. He was very approachable. A real pleasure to work with.

“Our hostel was excellent; clean, decent food and all dietary requirements catered for. The rooming situation was great so all pupils were with their friends. Having male students/teachers on one floor and females the other also helped. The food was excellent. There was a range of items at both breakfast and dinner which catered for all.

Speaking of his tour manager, he commented: “I think Halldór’s best attribute was the recognition that 15 and 16 year old students don’t want to listen to lots of information so when he spoke it was relevant, clear, informative with humour too.

“Overall the organisation was excellent; a brilliant trip!”
