Very satisfied with the information given, the contact and support from Hannah. Very satisfied with the help and support given by Isabel. Answered all my questions and quieries promptly.  The whole package of being supported by Club Europe from start to finish worked for us and on return the entire choir were on a high from their first tour experience, extremely satisfying for us.

Concerts Review

[On singing at the Last Post]  It was very successful because of the reverence of the service. The highlight was singing Abide With Me during the wreath laying. Very emotional service, which the whole tour group commented on. It was a privilege for 3 of our party (not choir) to lay a wreath. We noticed one lady in the audience just could not help herself and was singing Ave Verum, Mozart with us.  [On singing in a cathedral]  It was our first performance of the tour and it was a big success for the choir, in singing in such a wonderful venue with amazing acoustics and in being part of the mass gave added poignancy to the music. [On another cathedral concert]  Phenomenal.  We were very honoured to be singing in such a venue.  The acoustics helped to raise the standard of our performance. The concert was the highlight of our tour.  Our repertoire was sung superbly well.  The audience were extremely appreciative and unusually the audience remained until the end of the concert.  Some audience applauding with arms raised above their heads.  One lady approached our conductor afterwards and expressed a desire to do a joint tour with us.  She was part of choir that regularly toured from France.

Visits Review

Everyone loved Passchendaele Museum. The Chocolate museum was highly amusing and educational.  Excellent. The Castle of the Counts again was excellent and we all had audio guides. The canal cruise as another highlight as we sang on the boat.

Accommodation Review

We were extremely impressed by the hotel. The hotel location was perfect.  Just on the outside of the tourist part of the town, quiet; yet close enough to the beach front, bars and restaurants.

Rep Review

Joshua did more than expected.  He became a friend of the group, he helped with people with disabilities, and he guided us even though he was not a guide. Josh kept us informed of every detail of our itinerary.  His contribution was totally invaluable.

Transport Review

Very pleasant and polite and informative.  He knew his stuff and showed confidence and authority when required, which made us feel secure. Driver Rob was extremely accommodating and helpful parking near to concert venues.

Alahree gave me excellent support with clear and prompt replies to my many queries. It was good to have a telephone discussion initially following which Isabel made arrangements as we had discussed and was in close contact regarding any choices or changes.  I felt able to contact her about small details and always had a prompt response. We had an excellent tour.

Concerts Review

[On playing at the Last Post ceremony}  We found it a huge privilege to sing there and were complimented by people afterwards, the following day when visiting various cemeteries and in the street. Having heard us on Saturday night a number of people came to the concert the following day.

Transport Review

Excellent. Andrew contributed greatly to the enjoyment and success of the tour.  He coped with the delay, guided us through security, commented on the places we went through on the journey, knew exactly the best places to stop for comfort breaks, had a meal with us, asked if he could film us at the Menin Gate and was generally a welcome member of the group.  His knowledge of the area was excellent. The coach exceeded the standard of the luxury coaches we had used before.

Alahree and Isabel always respnded quickly.. I was impressed with the ability of the team to respond to our needs and changes. A fun and enjoyable experience, which exceeded our expectations on our first foray as a choir to Europe, with great singing and appreciative audiences. It was a real bonding experience for the choir and everyone loved it.

[On a church concert] A great success. Wonderful comments from the audience and a standing ovation. Snacks and drinks provided and served by church members at the end. Very friendly.

Great excursions, the guides all had funny anecdotes to tell us which added to our enjoyment. Overall everything worked really well.

A great hotel, suitable for everyone’s requirements. It was better than we expected, feedback from everyone was very complementary. Made an effort to make us feel welcome. It was good to be able to walk to the shops, beach and our second concert venue; quite a few members said they would be happy to return.

Good to have someone with us who spoke the language and knew the customs and protocol of the country we were in. Justine was willing to join in with us at meal times, trips and evenings. A really nice, friendly person.

Perfect, accommodating to various needs, helpful, jovial, comfort stops at the right intervals. Thanks for providing the tea, coffee and bottles of water. Would use them again especially with Mark.

Club Europe Privacy Notice – Protecting your privacy

Introduction

Your privacy is paramount to us. This Privacy Notice explains in detail the types of personal data we may collect about you when you interact with us. It also explains how we’ll store and handle that data, and keep it safe.

We know that there’s a lot of information here but we want you to be fully informed about your rights, and how Club Europe uses your data.

We hope the following sections will answer any questions you have but if not, please do get in touch with us.

We will never share your data with a third party for marketing purposes; it’s not how we work.

1. What is personal data

Personal data refers to information about you, and from which you could be identified.  It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).  There are “special categories” of more personal data which require a higher level of protection.

2. Who does what

Club Europe holidays Ltd is the data controller and we have appointed Tim Johnson as the Data Processing Officer. To keep things simple, when we refer to “we” and “us” it means Club Europe.

3. Legal basis explained

The new laws of data protection set out a number of different reasons for which a company may collect and process your personal data. We believe the following apply to you in terms of how we work:-

Consent

In specific situations, we can collect and process your data with your consent.

For example, when you tick a box to receive our marketing updates.

Contractual obligations

In certain circumstances, we need your personal data to comply with our contractual obligations.

For example, in planning and executing your tour, we will need important personal data such as names, emergency mobile contact numbers, passport information and dietary or medical requirements. We use these only to fulfil our contractual obligations and promise to keep them safe and secure.

Legitimate interest

Where we have an ongoing relationship with you, we will use the non sensitive data we store such as email addresses & past tour information to help us keep you informed of our products and social events.

For example, we will look back on previous tour destinations you may have been to and offer new tours that may be relevant.

We will also use your details to send you direct marketing information by email and occasionally post, telling you about products and services that we think might interest you.

You will have the right to unsubscribe at any time and we will respect your preferences.

4. What sort of personal data do we collect?

We collect your name, email address, school or club address, mobile telephone and work contact number as a minimum.

Where you are planning a tour with us we will, at the appropriate time, request that you complete additional passenger information for the group you are responsible for. The information we will request is passport details, dietary or medical requirements, dates of birth, gender, ski ability, height, weight and details of any musical instruments your group may be bringing. If we need to refund you monies then we will request an appropriate bank or building society account. The account and sort code will only be stored in our secure Banking software in case we need to pay you again.

We’ll only ask for and use your personal data collected for recommending tours or inviting you to social events we may be planning. Of course, it’s always your choice whether you share such details with us.

In the course of preparing your tour we are required to share your personal data with trusted third party suppliers such as transport companies, accommodation suppliers, ski suppliers, concert or sport agents etc. These people may be outside of the UK/EEA and so we will endeavour to ensure that any data passed onto these trusted suppliers is kept safe and secure.

In order for you to travel abroad, it may be mandatory (as required by government authorities at the point(s) of departure and/or destination) to disclose and process your information for immigration, border control, security and anti-terrorism purposes, or any other purposes which they determine appropriate. These requirements may differ depending on your destination and you are advised to check. Even if not mandatory, we may exercise our discretion to assist where appropriate.

We may share your personal data with marketing agencies to improve our products and services.

7. How long will we keep your personal data?

Whenever we collect or process your personal data, we’ll only keep it for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
At the end of that retention period, your data will either be deleted completely or anonymised, for example by aggregation with other data so that it can be used in a non-identifiable way for statistical analysis and business planning.

Some examples of customer data retention periods:
