Guest blog: Swindon Choral Society's Covid-19 story

March 18, 2021

Like many of our choirs, Swindon Choral has been keeping busy over the past year despite the restrictions.

"Not knowing what we were heading into we decided to carry on rehearsing via zoom for our summer concert in the hope that by then things would be back to normal. How wrong we were!

However since then we have had a zoom session every two weeks just enjoying singing and seeing other members of the choir. Lately we have added talks by members and social evenings to our Thursdays.

Our musical director Robin Nelson should have retired last October but has gallantly carried on taking our rehearsals until such times that we can start interviewing our new applicants for the MDs post.

Hopefully we shall be able to sing together before too long and once again perform the music we all love."
