The lively town of Zell am See lies at the centre of the Europa Sport Region, one of Austria’s best-known ski areas. 130 km of groomed pistes, 60 lifts and skiing up to a height of 3,030 metres awaits your school ski group. Our lift pass covers skiing from Zell am See and Schüttdorf on the Schmittenhöhe mountain. At 2,000 metres high, it is perfect for intermediate skiing from the summit and some excellent ridge runs.
If required you can extend your lift pass to the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, a ten-minute drive away. This is great for Easter and 100% snow sure! Why not try conquering the new “Glacier Round Trip” – 41 kilometres from the peak of the Kitzsteinhorn to Langwiedboden – on your last day? True enthusiasts can freestyle to their heart’s content in three snow parks, a super pipe, mogul slopes and five freeride ski trails.
View piste mapZell am See is home to Club Europe’s very own ice hockey match between two premier league teams, now open to all school ski groups, on the middle Wednesday of the main ski weeks. Thrill at the skills of the Zeller Eisbären and soak up the atmosphere at this exciting event. Ice-skating, ice-curling, swimming and bowling are also available in the sports centre, or you can choose to enjoy some late-night shopping in Zell am See’s pretty town centre.
Most of our resorts are either naturally high enough or benefit from the latest snow-making technology to guarantee snow at Easter. Better value flights and accommodation, fewer queues and warmer weather mean this is an ideal time for a school ski group.
You should book your trip between 12-18 months in advance. This will give you the best choice of accommodation and allow parents plenty of time to save up, but we always welcome late bookings.
Full ski and snowboard hire including helmets are included, however children need to provide their own clothing.
We offer you all the advice and support you require – every step of the way. Rest assured; we organise everything. Or you could sign up for a SCO (Snowsport Course Organiser) course.
