On the slopes
This hidden gem In the Southern Alps of France in the Gap region is perfect for our Club Europe school ski trip groups. You will be based either in Ancelle, a charming, traditional village situated on a large plateau at 1340m, or directly in Orcières. With a ski area up to 2725m, Orcières enjoys high altitude skiing and an excellent variety of slopes, a boarder-skier cross park and slalom course so that that students of all abilities will be catered for.
The Ancelle ski area goes up to 1800m and its compact 26 km of pistes combine good snow conditions with gentle gradients, making it perfect for beginners and intermediate skiers. The doorstep location of the accommodation means that you can enjoy easy access to the slopes, lunch back at your centre and a relaxed start to the week.

Enjoy “mushing” on husky-drawn sleighs, tubing on the Rocherousse plateau or a moonlit snowshoe walk for atmospheric, traditional activities; as well as swimming in the local pool in Orcières. For a mid-week high point, you can also include a trip to Gap for bowling or laser tag.

You should book your trip between 12-18 months in advance. This will give you the best choice of accommodation and allow parents plenty of time to save up, but we always welcome late bookings.
Snow Security: Snow cannons operate in all our resorts to assist satisfactory snow cover on the lower slopes. This means in many Austrian resorts, skiing is now possible from early December until late April making Easter skiing an attractive proposition.
Snow Guarantee: We will pay up to £30 per person per day towards additional costs of transport and lift pass if all the lifts in your resort are closed due to adverse weather conditions or lack of snow.
