On the slopes

Essentially an intermediate skiing area, the terrain does, however, offer ample scope for all grades of skier. Excellent teaching areas are located on the Etape at 1470m and at 1900m on the Signal area, thus ensuring good snow conditions for beginners. The modern lift system with its 8-person gondola whisks you up from the village to Etape and from here there is a selection of chairlifts servicing the higher slopes. The ski school meets the group at Etape, from which they take our groups to suitable areas of the mountain.

Les Contamines offers a variety of traditional evening entertainments for our school ski trips. It has a selection of cosy crêperies and several bars with live music. There are also many other attractions to choose from.
