Neukirchen is a charming alpine village nestled at the foot of the Wildkogel mountain, offering a traditional Austrian atmosphere combined with easy access to the slopes of the Wildkogel-Arena. Surrounded by the Hohe Tauern National Park, and with views of the impressive Grossvenediger peak, Neukirchen blends natural beauty with a warm, family-friendly vibe. Your accommodation is located a short walk from its quaint streets, local shops, and cosy cafes making it the perfect base for a school ski week.
Skiing in Neukirchen starts right from the village, with a gondola taking skiers directly up into the heart of the Wildkogel-Arena. The resort offers 75 km of well-groomed pistes, with wide blue and red runs ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers. Modern lifts and clear signage make navigation easy, while snow parks and beginner areas provide extra variety and fun. With the Wildkogel-Arena as the main ski area, visitors can enjoy stunning views and consistent snow conditions throughout the season. For those looking to explore further, Neukirchen also offers access to the nearby ski regions of the Zillertal and Kitzbühel Alps, making it an excellent base for discovering more of the Austrian Alps.
