Gudauri offers a unique opportunity to try what is still a relatively unknown ski resort with pristine conditions. The highest and largest ski resort in Georgia, the town is benefitting from investment and an increasing number of high quality hotels. Its unique location in the Caucasus mountains between Europe and Asia, resort height and natural snowfall make this a mecca for powder enthusiasts, but school ski groups are equally well-served with easy access to the slopes from the base of the resort. A vast, south-facing bowl extends up to almost 3000m, providing a network of well-groomed, rolling blues and reds giving skiers of all abilities the potential to make excellent progress. Those seeking a challenge can take the new Poma gondola to the steeper slopes of Kudebi and Sadzele or the north-facing Kobi Valley at the back of the mountain.
View piste mapEnjoy some relaxing downtime either at your hotel with a traditional Georgian dinner and music and use the in-house entertainment facilities. For the more active groups, swimming, night-skiing and snowmobiling are also available.
We highly recommend building in some time to explore this beautiful and welcoming country as well as enjoy a few days of skiing time. We recommend at least one night in Tbilisi where you can explore the historic old town, visit the Narikala Fort, sample some traditional Georgian cuisine and participate in a typical music evening. En-route to the ski resort, you can spend half a day at the Mtskheta mountain monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site. On your return journey, spend half a day at the Experimentarum science museum or some downtime in the East Point shopping mall. On request, we would include two nights full-board in a hotel in the capital Tbilisi or one in Tbilisi and one in Mtskheta on the return journey.
We offer you all the advice and support you require – every step of the way. Rest assured; we organise everything. Or you could sign up for a SCO (Snowsport Course Organiser) course.
You should book your trip between 12-18 months in advance. This will give you the best choice of accommodation and allow parents plenty of time to save up, but we always welcome late bookings.
We can offer inspection trips tailored to your specific needs. We are more than happy to put you in touch with some of our happy clients.
