Concerts Review

[On playing in a music festival]  Excellent – a professional sound engineer was there and he set up all of their equipment for us to use so we sounded fantastic!  Very successful. The highlight was that the organisers presented each of the students with a slate heart from the local region to say thank you. It was also interesting to see the opening of the Festival with the wine Queen and Princesses. It was lovely and the audience were really enthusiastic.

Loved the boat trip. Cochem was lovely and the students enjoyed the castle tour. Phantasialand was really good and a highlight for the students.

Accommodation Review

It suited us perfectly. it was better than I expected – very clean and well arranged. The location was lovely. Extremely helpful staff, particularly with providing different food for our nut allergy sufferers.

Karin liaised with each of the venues before we arrived and then made sure the coach knew where to go and where to park. She then introduced our group in German at the beginning of our performances. She always watched and encouraged the students whilst they were performing as well.

[On a concert in a pavilion]  Lovely big space, again a nice piano. A highlight was playing one of the bands favourite pieces for some for the last time; they got a bit teary. Plus we have enjoyed giving the experience of introducing the concert to two of our sixth formers speaking in German.

Amazing I hadn’t realised how close it was we are used to 24 hours + on a coach we were there in no time. Lots to see and plenty of activities to keep us entertained. Always like the fact all my students were on one floor.

I was very really pleased with the communication with both Hannah and Sabine who put up with my endless email questions, my last minute decisions and still managed to put together a great programme. I’m always impressed with the documents on the portal and everything is centralised and fairly easy to find. Everything was how I expected it would’ve been after our previous tour, thanks for helping to make sure it ran smoothly. A fantastic tour that will last in memories for many years to come.

Lucy is very organised, always approachable and happy to help. I was impressed by the obvious experience that all Club Europe reps seemed to have. I was confident at all times that Lucy would make a successful tour for us. I knew that our concert plans were in good hands. The general organisation and communication of the company was fantastic. After so many tours with incompetent companies, it was a pleasure to work with Club Europe. [On a church concert] It was a lovely church, with a wonderful audience.

A great balance between 'cultural' and 'fun' in our trips out. The theme park was fantastic, the bowling created a lot of new bonds between students, and the visits to Bonn and Marksburg were very interesting.

Accommodation Review

The location was very quiet, and ideal for a young group like ours. Hostel staff were fantastic all week. All questions and requirements were dealt with with respect and seriousness. Catering staff were always willing to answer questions about ingredients, and the man on reception made himself available 24/7 and made himself a reliable member of the team.

Transport Review

Both drivers were superb. Even on the challenging back-roads, we always felt safe with both drivers. Jaimie was superb at all times. His good nature and approachability made him an instant hit with staff and students alike. He played regular pranks on the tour party (making students check for life-jackets etc.), endearing him to us all, and never crossing any lines of decency or appropriateness.It was fantastic. USB charging ports were a luxury we've never had before. All lights, speakers and air-con outputs worked. Students and staff were comfortable and happy for all journeys. This coach company was the best coach company we have ever travelled with, and Jaimie was one of the best coach drivers I've worked with in many, many years of music tours.

[On an outdoor concert] Highly appreciative audience, although small they made a collection of over 100 Euros. We were also presented with a plaque commemorating our performance there.

Visits Review

Just the right amount and variety, with just the right amount of free time for our students. I especially recommend Beethoven House for similar students to ours. It included a fabulous introductory talk before a visit around the small house at leisure.

Accommodation Review

Perfect! Plenty of food, even for all of our extremely tall, hungry teenage boys. Lovely salads and filling main courses.

Georg was superb!  He aimed to have thought of everything before we even needed to ask for it. This he totally fulfilled. Georg meant that I was much more relaxed and could concentrate on building relationships with students and encouraging better musical performances.

Alahree [our account manager] has continued her consistent, high standard of customer service on this tour. She always goes the extra mile to ensure that our needs are met. We were particularly impressed at her ability to organise a last minute addition to the trip. Sabine [our operations manager] has been an excellent go between us and our accommodation. She ensured that all details were passed on to the hotel and liaised with us closely over some of our pupils with very specific dietary requirements. [on a church concert] The concert was a success and well received by the audience. The priest at this venue was very welcoming and gave the choir special access to the original font of the church.

We were clearly located in a central location in terms of our trips and concert venues.The accommodation was clean and tidy. They were ready for us even though we were 2 hours early. Staff were helpful and friendly and ensured that a practice room was available for us whilst on tour. All of the food was of a good quality and our various dietary needs were all catered for.

Verena worked well with both us and our coach driver. She was flexible and organised, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Verena leafleted the public before concerts started. She also made regular contact with various personnel for each venue ensuring the correct arrangements were in place. Where needed, Verena also translated for us during concerts. She was very valuable to the smooth running of the tour.

Outstanding! Alahree and Sabine have made this entire process stress free and enjoyable. Having never organised a tour before I was quite nervous about the whole process and with many hurdles to have to overcome to make the tour get off the ground. Alahree and Sabine have been a huge support, always answered any questions or worries and put together a wonderful tour for us. Can’t thank them enough. I was impressed with Alahree coming out to our school to come and personally meet with me to discuss what would be the best package for us. I felt it was important to have a face-to-face meeting with a tour company rep so that I could not only chat more easily to them but so they could see our music dept, what we do and therefore make good suggestions as to what and where might be right for us for our first tour. It was a tour of a lifetime that gave us some very special memories and left us all with a special bond that no other trip could’ve created. The students enjoyed every concert and excursion and they were already planning our next tour on the bus ride home!

Beautiful setting, great little town and superb modern hostel. Perfect hostel for a school trip. Lots of space, big spacious clean modern rooms with en suite bathrooms, fantastic food and lots of it (my boys were happy!), lots of space to run around outside, games room with my pupils loved, big rehearsal spaces downstairs, vending machines and the ultimate necessity for teenagers – wifi.

Outstanding! There are not enough nice things I can say about the legends that are Mike and Nick (out coach drivers). They absolutely made our tour and the kids are quite frankly refusing to do another tour without them! From the moment they turned up at our school at 5.30am they were chirpy and professional and welcomed all the kids onboard. I was absolutely bowled over by their professional and quite frankly tetris like organisation in packing all our musical equipment into the hold of the bus. The kids adopted them into our group within seconds and they were both so lovely chatting to our pupils, putting on DVDs for them, putting on their music through the coach sound system etc. They even joined in singing with us (when not driving!). Some of the roads we had to go down with hair pin bends down mountains were unbelievable and Mike and Nick handled it all superbly! Their confidence and skill and knowledge in driving that huge bus is astounding. Happy, cheery coach drivers are really important on school trips and can really make it for the kids and so both Mike and Nick are ‘legends’ in all our eyes and we would love for them to do our next tour.

The acoustics were superb and just to see the look on the students faces as they responded to the sound they produced sent a tingle down my spine.
