You will find a great welcome for your performers in Hungary, a land famous for gypsy folk music and great composers such as Bartok, Kodaly and Liszt. Positioned at the crossroads of East and West, Hungary enjoyed a golden age as part of the Habsburg Empire and its rich and varied history makes Hungary a fascinating place to visit today. We base our groups in Budapest, an intriguing city known as the Pearl of the Danube. Formed of the two towns Buda and Pest in 1873, Budapest contains many places of genuine interest, including the Royal Palace, the Parliament buildings and the Fisherman’s Bastion, as well as museums, parks, and fun activities for groups.
View mapFrom cathedrals to jazz clubs, concert halls to community centres. Along the Danube bend there are also numerous towns and villages with pretty churches and town squares, providing real hospitality and the chance to explore beyond the capital city. We have also arranged for some of our groups to perform in local festivals.

We have drawn up a comprehensive step-by-step Guide to planning a school music tour for first time tourers. This covers all aspects of tour planning from budgeting and fundraising, to choosing the right destination, accommodation and performing venues for your ensemble. Click here to read our Guide.
We understand that school music tours are considered as a reward or holiday for many groups and that where you stay is really important. All hotels and hostels we use are suitable for young music ensembles with many offering rehearsal space and instrument storage. Rooms are normally multi-bedded for students and twins, sometimes singles, for adults. Generally, rooms are en-suite.
