Derbyshire is home to the Peak District National Park, which spans some of England’s most magnificent and varied scenery. There’s so much to see in the Park, from the gorgeous valley and stepping stones at Dovedale, the lovely little town of Bakewell, famous for its cherry and almond-flavoured cake, the exquisite Chatsworth House set amongst magnificent landscaped parkland, to the highest point in the Peak District, Kinder Scout.
View mapThere’s so much interest in attending concerts, and there are a great many venues of all types from which to choose. Where possible, we’ll try to combine your concert with that of a local group, and arrange for you to perform in schools and enjoy workshops, if you so wish.

Day 2
Morning visit to Chatsworth House and Gardens. Afternoon visit to the plague village of Eyam. Evening concert in Wirksworth.
Day 3

An elegant spa town that’s home to the Heights of Abraham, Derbyshire’s oldest visitor attraction, and its panoramic cable car ride, caves and walks with panoramic views.
A wonderful open air museum where you can ride on historic trams, step back in time along a period street and enjoy the glorious setting.
Home to the Cavendish family since the 1500’s, this is the quintessential and grand stately home that is a must-see.
Located in either Ilam, to the south of the National Park, or Castleton, in the north. Both hostels are housed in historic buildings of great beauty, with excellent facilities both inside and out.
The most pleasant times of year to come to Europe are May to September, therefore you may wish to consider this when planning your tour. Summer temperatures across Europe range from 18-35 degrees Celsius. European cities in winter can also offer many interesting cultural experiences that you may enjoy.
We understand that school music tours are considered as a reward or holiday for many groups and that where you stay is really important. All hotels and hostels we use are suitable for young music ensembles with many offering rehearsal space and instrument storage. Rooms are normally multi-bedded for students and twins, sometimes singles, for adults. Generally, rooms are en-suite.
You should book your tour between 8-18 months in advance. This will give us time to find the best possible venues for your tour and you will have ample time for fundraising should you need to do so.
