Overall Review

As always, Lucy absolutely understands what we’re looking for in a music tour, and is absolutely focussed on solutions for making our trip the best possible experience. Lucy is a delight to work with. Sabine is one of the most cheerful people on earth, she is absolutely lovely and completely focussed on what needs to be done to make our tour happen. I think we’ve got this down to a fine art now. When our initial plans for a Costa Brava tour became unworkable due to P&O’s price hike, a brilliant alternative was quickly found.

Concerts Review

[On a concert in a church] Beautiful church. Lovely big space and a gorgeous piano. [On another church concert] Really nice big space and another lovely piano. We used the gallery to put a couple of our brass players in for one number, which was nice. This one was musically better just because we were more prepared! The audience were very receptive and enthusiastic. Beautiful church, great facilities.

Visits Review

The Mercat walking tour was excellent. The National Museum of Scotland is a brilliant place! So amazing that it’s free.

Accommodation Review

Absolutely brilliant. Laid-back but completely efficient place. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great location. Perfect. Staff were superb.

Overall Review

I was most impressed with the opportunities to meet with staff from the two singing venues. It was exciting to walk through the well worked out itinerary and then evaluate it all. I was very satisfied as I felt that what we achieved was successful. The best time of my twenty year teaching career. If anything had gone wrong, and it didn’t, I felt that Club Europe would have helped in any way they could. I have been so impressed with Club Europe and look forward to doing it all again.

Concerts Review

[On a church concert]  A perfect location, the kirk was immaculate. The singers performed their whole repertoire without any problems. It was very fulfilling and there was a realisation afterwards that this was the culmination of a school year’s set of rehearsals and our objective had been met. We were all buzzing afterwards. [On a concert in a cathedral] Wondeful! The acoustics were amazing. It was a very special hour for myself and my colleague. She has sung in many cathedrals but never conducted a choir in one. I had never accompanied a choir in such magnificent surroundings.

Accommodation Review

Edinburgh is a vibrant city with lots of hidden gems. The absolute perfect location for a tour. The hostel was clean and modern. Ensuite bathrooms were a bonus. I liked the dorm style rooms, worked well for our pupils. It isn’t too far away from the centre. All the coach journeys were very short. I liked the reception area with its sofas and space. We often met up there in the mornings before breakfast, dinner and before going on trips.

Transport Review

Always felt safe in their hands. Nigel, who was the main driver was very good. He had to be very flexible about parking in different places.

A really positive experience. A fantastic feel good tour that was just right to bring our orchestra together. [Hannah] provided a lot of help and was always happy to go above and beyond. I would highly recommend. Sabine [our Operations Manager] was lovely and very helpful, replied to all my emails about varying things, and the itinerary was brilliant. Everything was clear and made easy.

[On a concert in St Giles Cathdral] It was lovely and the girls thoroughly enjoyed it. A highlight was Jurrasic Park the opening of the horns was amazing with the acoustics and we sounded so much better in there! Hannah has been brilliant. Always efficient and it was very reassuring talking through the tour with her right at the start. She has answered all of my questions quickly and professionally. This is the third tour Hannah has organised for me and she has never let me down. Thank you Hannah! Sabine has also been brilliant. She is very efficient and thorough. She is quick to respond to my emails and was also very helpful when we spoke on the phone. Tim was also great! He was very helpful with the transport and was very reassuring. All of your staff are professional, polite and very helpful.

This beautifully planned tour to the stunning city of Edinburgh has reignited a love for music at our school post Covid.

[On an outdoor concert] It was lovely. Lots of people having lunch and passing through. We loved performing here. The highlight was the friendly audience and the fun of trying to stop our music from flying away. Very relaxed and fun. [On a church conert] Perfect – great size, electricity wonderful acoustics, beautiful church and the van could drive right up to the door of the church. We loved it. We performed best here. The highlight for me was listening to the vicar tell us a bit of the church’s history.

Accommodation Review

Edinburgh was perfect. It’s a wonderful city which is small enough to not worry too much about the students but has loads going on and it’s stunning. The hostel was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed the bar, pool tables and beer garden. I liked the large communal areas.

Introduction

Your privacy is paramount to us. This Privacy Notice explains in detail the types of personal data we may collect about you when you interact with us. It also explains how we’ll store and handle that data, and keep it safe.

We know that there’s a lot of information here but we want you to be fully informed about your rights, and how Club Europe uses your data.

We hope the following sections will answer any questions you have but if not, please do get in touch with us.

We will never share your data with a third party for marketing purposes; it’s not how we work.

2. Who does what

Club Europe holidays Ltd is the data controller and we have appointed Tim Johnson as the Data Processing Officer. To keep things simple, when we refer to “we” and “us” it means Club Europe.

3. Legal basis explained

The new laws of data protection set out a number of different reasons for which a company may collect and process your personal data. We believe the following apply to you in terms of how we work:-

Consent

In specific situations, we can collect and process your data with your consent.

For example, when you tick a box to receive our marketing updates.

Contractual obligations

In certain circumstances, we need your personal data to comply with our contractual obligations.

For example, in planning and executing your tour, we will need important personal data such as names, emergency mobile contact numbers, passport information and dietary or medical requirements. We use these only to fulfil our contractual obligations and promise to keep them safe and secure.

Legitimate interest

Where we have an ongoing relationship with you, we will use the non sensitive data we store such as email addresses & past tour information to help us keep you informed of our products and social events.

For example, we will look back on previous tour destinations you may have been to and offer new tours that may be relevant.

We will also use your details to send you direct marketing information by email and occasionally post, telling you about products and services that we think might interest you.

You will have the right to unsubscribe at any time and we will respect your preferences.

4. What sort of personal data do we collect?

We collect your name, email address, school or club address, mobile telephone and work contact number as a minimum.

Where you are planning a tour with us we will, at the appropriate time, request that you complete additional passenger information for the group you are responsible for. The information we will request is passport details, dietary or medical requirements, dates of birth, gender, ski ability, height, weight and details of any musical instruments your group may be bringing. If we need to refund you monies then we will request an appropriate bank or building society account. The account and sort code will only be stored in our secure Banking software in case we need to pay you again.

We’ll only ask for and use your personal data collected for recommending tours or inviting you to social events we may be planning. Of course, it’s always your choice whether you share such details with us.
