A stay at Apex2100 offers senior teams a unique chance to train in an inspiring and invigorating environment. Apex 2100 is an international ski academy that opens it’s doors to teams during their off season to train in Rugby, Netball or Multi-sports camps.
Sir Clive Woodward is the Director of Sport at Apex and alongside Tom Mitchell, former GB Rugby Sevens Captain and Olympic silver medallist, creates and delivers the Rugby programmes.
The programme is composed of dedicated rugby training, athletic development, workshops and off pitch activities. Each school benefits from individual pitch time, sessions with each of the other participating schools and if requested, mini tournament or conditioned games can be organised on the final day.
Day 1
Arrival into Tignes. Welcome talk and lecture from Tom Mitchell on Winning Behaviours. Dinner followed by a Team Meeting to discuss the week ahead.
Day 2
Breakfast followed by mini bus to the Rugby pitches. Morning rugby training session on synthetic pitch before lunch back at Apex. Afternoon training session on Tignes pitch before a Nutrition Workshop. Hydrotherapy recovery session before dinner and an evening activity of Table Tennis competition.
Day 3
Breakfast followed Apex Perform Better workshop on Visual Awareness & Game Play. Lunch back at Apex before heading to the Tignes pitch for today’s training session. Athletic Development sessions on Agility/Speed and Strength as well as Hydrotherapy recovery before dinner. Free evening whilst coaches take part in a CPD session.
Day 4
Breakfast before a second Visual Awareness & Game Play workshop. Rugby training session on synthetic pitches before returning to Apex for lunch. This afternoon, you will have time to take part in your chosen team building activities or use the gym facilities. Dinner followed by a relaxing cinema night.
Day 5
Early breakfast before travelling to yout chosen Tignes Activities. Lunch at Apex followed by a training session on the Tignes Pitch. Hydro recovery session before dinner. Evening lecture with Tom Mitchell on ‘Mindset of a Champion’.
Day 6
Breakfast followed by your final training session on the Tignes pitch. Lunch back at Apex before a team meeting to reflect on the week. Take a hike in the surrounding natural beauty before your Hydro recovery session. Tour Awards ceremony before dinner and then time to pack your bags.
Day 7
Breakfast (and lunch depending on departure time) before you check out and head to the airport.
You will stay onsite at Apex so your students experience a real training camp environment. You will stay on a full board basis with meals created by the dedicated nutrition team as well as post training recovery snacks. The facilities include 54 bedrooms, medical and treatment rooms, 3 gym spaces, hydrotherapy centre, games room, team room and a dedicated staff only workspace.
You should book your tour between 8-18 months in advance. This will give us time to secure the best possible accommodation, matches and excursion programme for your tour and you will have ample time for fundraising should you need to do so.
Yes, we offer both air and coach travel.
