WWI battlefields tour - discover your school's history

  • Jun 03, 2013

Make your school history trip to the battlefields of World War I an even more moving, thought-provoking experience by visiting the grave of a former pupil at your school.

Standing over the headstone of a soldier who fought and died in the war, who also attended the same school as students really brings an extra poignancy to their trip. Having made this personal connection to the war they are studying, our students often recite a special poem over the headstone and take a few extra moments to really consider and reflect on the realities of the war. They tell us, it is often the most memorable moment of their trip.
