Discover the vivid record of how religion evolved in Germany during the Reformation in the 16th century where the Renaissance, a humanistic movement, spread to Germany, and many came to question the absolute power of the Catholic Church.
You’ll be based at Leipzig youth hostel.
Travel to Berlin by air and transfer to Leipzig by coach. Visit some of the city’s iconic sites such as St. Thomas Church and the Museum of City History.
After Breakfast travel to Erfurt to visit the famous Protestant Augustinian Monastery. After lunch enjoy a guided tour based on the life of Martin Luther.
Depart your accommodation after breakfast and travel to Eisleben to visit the house where Martin Luther lived and spent the last years of his life.
Spend the morning with a visit to St. Nicholas Church to see the Luther Pulpit. Time for lunch, followed by further exploration of Leipzig’s rich culture.
