Student travel tour to Belgium is a success

A school from Cornwall has enjoyed a wonderful student travel tour to Wallonia in Belgium.

In addition to seeing the region’s sights, such as the famous Atomium, the students had lots of opportunities to practice their French.

“We had a fabulous trip,” their teacher said. “Students used languages constantly: maths with euros, geography with border crossings and our curriculum needs were fully met.

“So the educational benefits of the trip were linguistic, cultural, geographical and mathematical. New friendships were formed, the mixture of ages worked well, and a lot of students gained considerably in confidence.

“For me the highlights of the trip were the day trips to Aachen and Brussels. I asked several students what their highlight was and they all said ‘All of it!’”
