Students from a Performing Arts school in Maidenhead had a wonderful student travel tour to Verona last month.
“THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU,” their teacher Sam wrote to us. “The happiest kids on the planet! Please pass on my thanks to your team.”
A parent, Julie, also wrote to say: “Overall the trip was fantastic. It created memories for Ella that will last a lifetime.
“Ella thought the workshops were amazing. She was really inspired by the teacher as he looked at things in different ways and gave them alternative approaches to drama. It was also lovely that they sang the Rainbow Song to him – really demonstrates the [the school’s] bond!
“It was a wonderful experience for them all. I am so glad that you introduced the trip before Ella left as I think a residential trip is an essential part of a child’s education. I think you may have more pupils wanting to go next year!”
The group took part in two theatre workshops based on Shakespeare at the Teatro Stabilo Verona and took the ‘Play the City – the Legend of Romeo and Juliet’ guided tour of the city. They visited the famous Arena, the Piazza Delle Erbe, the Piazza Dei Signori as well as Juliet’s House with the famous balcony.
Also in their programme were visits to St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace.
