Get your history students out of the classroom to see some real history

There’s no better way to engage in history than to see for yourself some of the famous landmarks and sights that have shaped our time.

In Berlin, witness to the 20th century’s most momentous events, history students can visit: Checkpoint Charlie, The Holocaust Memorial; Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp; and the East Side Gallery, where you can see the 1.3m section of the Berlin Wall.

While in Belgium there are numerous reminders of the many great historical events of WWI.

Visit: The cemeteries of Tyne Cot and Langemark; the Sanctuary Wood Museum (Hill 62); In Flanders Fields Museum; and take the Ypres battlefield guided tour.
