The European Space Agency’s (ESA) technical heart ESTEC in the Netherlands is offering our science students a unique virtual experience.
In addition to a virtual tour, the experience includes activity sessions and a Q & A with the experts.
After an introduction to the Centre and how the agency works students enjoy a virtual tour of ESTEC's Satellite Test Centre; a panoramic walk through the facilities of the largest centre in Europe where they test satellites under launch and space conditions. The afternoon session will split students into teams to explore different topics such as: Robotics for Moon & Mars - looking at the types of robotic experiments done for exploration; Astronaut food and nutrition - the what, why and how of eating in space; and space technology - turning innovations into products for everyday life.
The expreince will be rounded off with a Q& A and presentations from each group on what they have learnt over the day.
