Lignano Sabbiadoro, or "golden sand", is a town within the province of Udine in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy. One of the main summer resorts on the Adriatic Sea coast, it is a wonderful destination for our school music tour groups. Staying at the Bella Italia Village, students will enjoy the sea and nature together with a wide range of sports facilities including a sports hall, football courts, tennis, soccer, basketball and volleyball. There is also a water park, indoor swimming pools, and beach volleyball. In addition there is a day and evening entertainment programme, creative workshops and theme nights on site and on the beach. Venice is just few miles away and is one of many locations in the area, you could visit for an unforgettable day trip.
There are lots of performing venues within the Village and in the squares or churches in Lignano Sabbiadoro as well as in Venice and the surrounding area. Concert bands and Performing Arts groups will love the lively squares of this resort, where in the summer, concerts take place from 9pm most nights. Choirs and orchestras can perform in one of Venice’s glorious churches such as Il Redentore and Saint George’s Church, both of which are well within travelling distance.
