The Harz Mountains are a scenic upland region in central Germany, known for dense forests, rugged hills, and charming historic towns. Its highest peak, the Brocken, is famous for its misty weather and local legends, locally known as a meeting place for witches. The Harz Mountains are a very special mix of nature, fairytale towns, and unique cultural experiences all in one region.

The Harz region is blessed with a variety of concert venues, from hilltop castles to glorious churches and basilicas. We’d particularly recommend the area for choirs, who will enjoy the magnificent indoor venues and genuinely warm reception on offer here.
