A school from West Sussex had an amazing summer tour to Paris this month.
The school’s choir, orchestra and jazz band performed in three concerts, two in cathedrals. “Many of the students were very overwhelmed at performing in such a great space,” Nick their Head of Music said of a concert in Notre Dame.
Of a concert in a square he simply said: “Success! It was advertised (all the concerts were) and we had lots of positive comments from the public.”
He summed up his tour manager, Stephen in one word: “Excellent. He was always alert and sensitive to our needs and his musical background was a very big help.”
In summary Nick said: “We had a great time overall. We were impressed with Club Europe. It was better than our previous tour with a different company. We had: the on line portal, which was excellent; great venues for concerts; good accommodation; great coach and drivers; and a great tour manager.”
When not performing, the students explored Montmatre, visited the Sacré Cœur and enjoyed a boat trip on the Seine as well as a visit to Amiens.
