Choir and jazz band to tour in beautiful unpsoilt area of Italy

A sacred and secular choir and jazz band from Lancashire is to tour in Friuli Venezia Giulia an undiscovered gem of an area in Italy next July.

Unlike any other region and city in the world, Friuli Venezia Giulia which is situated between Latin, Germanic and Slavic lands is truly one of the most underrated and unfairly overlooked places in Europe.

In terms of cuisine, culture, castles and romance, Trieste its capital, is second to none. It is embraced by green hills on one side and the Mediterranean Sea on the other, with the snow-capped Dolomites piercing the horizon to the north.

Whether you are performing in the enchanting courtyard of the Castle of Miramare, in the historical centre of the city of Gorizia, or on Trieste’s shores, your school music tour experience will be enhanced by an authentic Italian audience whose appreciation and enthusiasm reflects the relatively unexplored nature of this wonderful corner of Italy.
