Earlier this month Jane, Head of Music from a school in Kent, took her choir and concert band on a fantastic school music tour to Madrid.

Here’s what she had to say about it when she got back.

“Our Account Manager Alahree was brilliant as ever. She really understands how we work, and puts up will all manner of hitches at our end with immense patience! Our Operations Manager Alberto was excellent. He’s been enthusiastic and responsive throughout. I was most impressed with your responsiveness to changes in our plans - I don’t know why settling our numbers is always such a faff, but it always is, and you dealt with this brilliantly!

“The hotel was brilliant – the newly refurbished rooms were lovely. We’ve never had an easier check-in and check-out. Super. The location super central. The staff were great – helpful when we needed them, but unobtrusive when we didn’t! If this place had a bar it would be 100 per cent perfect!

“[On performing at a school] Our choir, concert band, jazz band performed in their lovely concert hall. We got everyone clapping along to Mambo No.5. They were immensely hospitable and fed us afterwards. Some of their students came along to chat to ours, which was nice.

“Our final concert at a shopping centre was the final tour concert for a large number of Year 13s, so was an emotional occasion – Liam’s mega drum solo and Will’s amazing sax solo were definitely a highlight, as was a rather teary rendition of ‘Weeping’. We really like these ‘passing trade’ kind of gigs.

“Our rep was amazing. They all loved her right from the start! She was funny, informative, and super helpful. She made sure that everything was in place for us, making lots of phone calls to smooth the way and make sure everybody knew what was happening. She helped with every aspect – concerts, accommodation, the restaurant, the coach… amazing.

“To sum up: You know what we want, and always deliver!”
