New online teachers resource for music teachers: let us bring the world to your students!

  • Oct 26, 2020

While your young ensembles are unable to travel the world, we've found a way to bring the world to them.

In conjunction with our many travel partners, we're creating an exciting series of free, accessible, and curriculum-linked Virtual Travel Encounters for students to engage in.

A Virtual Travel Encounter will complement and enrich students’ learning, as well as enhance cultural capital.

Here are some of the first music encounters we have up our sleeve. Watch this space for more!

  • Your choir can perform for one of our Italian villas in Italy’s wonderful Brenta Riviera and bring the waterways and beautiful houses to your classroom through a virtual tour of the villa. In future, your choir could perform live at the villa!

  • Partake in a pre-recorded concert exchange project with young musicians from different parts of the world.

  • Engage with inspirational concert pianist Panos Karan in a series of 24 online sessions covering 24 preludes and fugues by Bach, which all share stories and images from 24 different parts of the world – keep music and travel alive!

  • Enjoy a live streaming of a high profile concert from Italy.

Please get in touch with us if you'd like to know more about any of our Encounters or if you'd like us to create a Virtual Travel Encounter for your music students. As with all our school music tours, we will tailor your Virtual Travel Encounter to your requirements and your students’ needs.
