Our French language trip is based in the beautiful city of Reims in France’s Champagne region. Reims gives your students a real opportunity to witness a working city with a very friendly, French feel. In addition to morning French lessons at our language school, you’ll have the chance to visit one of the many champagne houses for a guided visit in French, as well as see Reims’ magnificent cathedral and explore the rich cultural and historical diversity of nearby medieval Troyes. For a day of fun, you can easily visit either Disneyland Paris or Parc Asterix from your base in Reims.
Day 1
Morning departure by coach from school. Late morning ferry crossing. Evening arrival at your accommodation centre in Reims.
Day 2
Morning’s language lesson at the language school at your centre. Afternoon walking tour of Reims, with opportunities to practise your French at the covered market. Evening language practice back at the accommodation centre and evening meal.
Day 3
Morning’s language lesson. Afternoon visit to a champagne house with guided tour and grape juice tasting. Return to the accommodation centre for language recap and evening meal.
Day 4
Morning’s language lesson at school. Afternoon visit to the city of Troyes and enjoy a river cruise. Return to the accommodation centre for evening meal.
Day 5
Depart the centre by coach for an afternoon ferry and evening arrival back at school.
Its Cathedral, the Palace of Tau and St Remi Basilica and Museum are all UNESCO treasures within the city itself.
The armistice that ended WWII was signed in this very building. Once an old technological college, the ‘Salle de la Signature’ remains intact, as it was in in 1945.
Known as the City of 10 churches and a thousand colours, Troyes is such a beautiful city to stroll around, practising your French in the shops and at the lively covered market.
You can easily reach Disneyland Paris or, for a more French experience, Parc Asterix, for a day of fun from your base of Reims.
Our groups stay in the modern and excellent CIS Reims which lies just 10 minutes’ walk from the city centre. All bedrooms have private bathroom and the centre has plenty of meeting rooms available to you. There’s also a games area and outdoor terrace.
We agree a three-stage process so that payments can be staggered to make it easier for parents.
You should book your tour between 8-18 months in advance. This will give us time to secure the best possible accommodation and excursion programme for your tour and you will have ample time for fundraising should you need to do so.
Yes, there are many advantages to this. One is that greater numbers sign up which means a lower tour price per student. Another is that a diverse (two-subject) itinerary can broaden the horizons of both ‘groups’ though, of course, we can create separate agendas for each if preferred.
